July 31, 2025 - MerNIA's legal counsel submitted a third letter to the Director of the Charitable Trust Unit of the NH Department of Justice regarding the Camp Menotomy property. A copy of the letter can be found here.

December 12, 2024 - The Laconia Daily Sun reported about the investigation of the proposed sale of the Camp Menotomy property by the Offices of the Attorney General in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Click on the following link for details: Laconia Daily Sun Article 12/12/2024. 

May 14, 2024 -  MerNIA determined that the NH Attorney General’s Office, Charitable Trust Division, was actively inquiring about the proposed sale to learn whether the intent of the original benefactor was being fulfilled. February 9, 2024 -  Camp Menotomy Girl Scout Camp located on Meredith Neck Rd. was publicly listed for sale. After speaking with the listing agent to gather information, we understood that the Trustees of the camp were already evaluating proposals for the site and a purchase and sale contract was already signed. The listing was removed from MLS on February 10th.

MerNIA continues to seek avenues to preserve this property and enforce the deed covenants by maintaining the property for a summer camp for the benefit of Arlington girls to give future generations of girls a place to visit along the shores of our lake, to learn and grow in a safe natural environment, much like many girls have done over the last 100 years as campers at Menotomy.
